Web design is a creative and technological discipline in the world wide web. It is the planning and creation of web sites. Web design is a multidisciplinary field and this has lead to interesting collaborations and strategic investment.

In the early life and stages, and even sometimes now, websites were thought to be merely functional tools, used almost a brochures, for companies and their products. But more intelligent thinking and realization has lead to new thinking in the vast and multifunctional world of the web.

Companies are now able to use the freedom of websites and WebPages -- books and pages with no physical limitations -- to continue to drive and sell their brand. Websites and web design have become new strategic tools in brand management and logo awareness globalizing.

A brand that, for instance, which relies heavily, on logo recognition but has limited physical products to sell will commission a web design aimed at exposing the logo. These retail companies, with high identifiable logos and limited numbers of products, will feature the product logo on their homepage tens of times.

It is interesting and important to consider the interconnectedness of two items which were created at different times for different reasons but have since merged to further reinforce the uniqueness of both.

This is one of the driving elements of many different technologies. They tend to be symbiotic and functional components that complete a massively important role when brought together. It also interesting to see how people are creative and manipulative with technology and outside elements to make something bigger and more powerful.

Although the website and individual WebPages are, in a sense, infinite with content capability, as they are displayed to the viewer they are generally limited to the limits of computer screens. Web design becomes incredibly important when there is preconceived thought as to the large number of times the product logo is to appear initially to the site visitor.

Once branding in reinforced, then the visitor can be made aware of all that a small and limited product line may have to offer. Deals, promotions, global placement, community are all part of why web design is important.

How to expose the visitor, already probably very aware of the logo, to an almost absurd number of logo reinforcements? And make it visually pleasing? And enticing? And functional? Web design is the key process of making this new strategy in brand management work.
